Line Terms Of Service

 Line Terms of Service

Effective date: October 22, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Dan Moore ("I", "me") for your use of Line, an augmented reality drawing app for iPhone and Android, and the website at https://makeitdoathing.com/line (together, "Line"). By using Line you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Line.

## Who can use Line

You must be at least 13 years old to use Line. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Line with the permission of a parent or guardian.

## Your drawings

You own the drawings and videos you make with Line.

- **Drawings you keep to yourself** stay on your device.

- **Drawings you make with a friend** are shared with the people in your session while you draw together.

- **Drawings you publish to a place** are public. Anyone using Line near that place can see them, and they stay there until they expire (up to 365 days) or are removed.

When you share or publish a drawing in Line, you give me a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, display, and transmit it as needed to run Line, for example to show your published drawing to people nearby. This license ends when your drawing is deleted from Line, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time.

You are responsible for what you draw and publish. Only publish drawings you have the right to share.

## Rules for drawings

Don't use Line to make, share, or publish anything that:

- is illegal, or promotes illegal activity;

- harasses, bullies, threatens, or targets a person or group;

- is hateful toward people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or similar characteristics;

- is sexually explicit, or sexualizes minors in any way;

- is graphically violent or encourages self-harm;

- shares someone's private information;

- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights;

- is spam or advertising.

Also don't:

- interfere with Line, its servers, or other people's use of it;

- try to get around limits, reports, or blocks;

- use automated means to publish drawings or read data from Line;

- reverse engineer Line's services except as allowed by law or by the open source licenses below.

## Reporting and removal

You can report a published drawing from inside the app. Drawings that are reported by several people are hidden automatically, and reporting a drawing also hides that creator's drawings on your device. You can also contact me to report content at [your contact email].

I may remove any drawing, or stop anyone from using Line, if I believe it breaks these terms or the law, or puts people at risk. I'm not obliged to review drawings before they appear, and I don't endorse drawings made by other people.

## Stay safe

Line shows drawings over the real world through your camera. Pay attention to your surroundings while you use it. Don't use Line while driving or in any situation where you need your full attention. Don't enter private property, trespass, or go somewhere unsafe to see or place a drawing. Respect the people and places around you.

## Privacy

The Line Privacy Policy explains what information Line uses and how. It is part of these terms.

## Third-party services

Line relies on services from Google, including Firebase and ARCore, and on the app stores you download it from. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for Line or its content.

## Open source

Line is based on Just a Line, an open source project from Google Creative Lab, and includes other open source software. Those parts are available under their own licenses, including the Apache License 2.0, which are listed in the app under About. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses.

## Changes to Line and these terms

Line may change, and features may be added or removed. I may also update these terms. If I make significant changes, I will update the effective date above and note the change in the app or on this page. If you keep using Line after a change, you accept the updated terms.

## Ending your use

You can stop using Line at any time by deleting the app. To have your published drawings deleted, contact me at [your contact email]. I may suspend or end your access to Line if you break these terms.

## Disclaimers

Line is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. I don't promise that Line will always be available, work without errors, or keep your drawings, or that drawings will appear in exactly the right place.

## Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of Line. My total liability for any claim relating to Line is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Line in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. You may also have other rights under the laws where you live that these terms can't change.

## Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [your state or country], without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in [your county and state], unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
