LIARS

Dan Moore has maintained a long-running creative collaboration with LIARS, developing tour visuals, audiovisual performances, and real-time systems that extend the band’s sound into a constantly shifting visual environment.

Working closely with Angus Andrew, Moore creates visual worlds shaped by the structure, texture, and physical force of the music. Rather than treating the visuals as a fixed sequence of images, each project is built as a responsive system. Live audio, rhythm, frequency, and performance data influence the movement, composition, and transformation of the image in real time.

The collaboration moves between fractured landscapes, unstable bodies, reflective materials, glowing forms, and digitally reconstructed spaces. Images stretch, collapse, repeat, and reorganize themselves around the music. Some moments are precisely composed, while others emerge differently during every performance.

Across multiple tours and standalone works, Moore and LIARS have developed a shared visual language built around tension, repetition, disorientation, and transformation. The result is not simply a backdrop for the band, but an evolving audiovisual space in which sound and image operate as parts of the same live system.
